The following offenses were observed or reported to the Parker County Sheriff’s Office Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2011.

Assault/Domestic Violence
• 100 block of Ice House Road, the complainant reported she was assaulted by a family member during an argument.

Criminal Mischief
• 1100 block of Green Tree Drive, the complainant reported unknown suspect(s) damaged a gravel drive with spray paint and damaged the yard by driving a vehicle over the grass.
• 200 block of Dorothy Lane, the complainant reported a known suspect(s) entered the property and damaged a vehicle with a BB gun.

Theft of Property
• 12700 block of FM 920, the complainant reported unknown suspect(s) entered the property and stole an air conditioning unit.

The following offenses were observed or reported to the Parker County Sheriff’s Office Monday, Jan. 10, 2011.

Burglary of a habitation
300 block of Smyth Street, the complainant reported unknown suspect(s) entered the residence and stole a check and prescription medication.
700 block of Dobbs Trail, the complainant reported unknown suspect(s) forcefully entered the residence and stole a TV and several firearms.
100 block of Onyx Court, the complainant reported unknown suspect(s) entered the residence and stole a set of cabinets, a microwave, a stove, a sink, a dishwasher and refrigerator.

• 129 Hogle Street, the complainant reported a known suspect threatened him during a dispute.

Parker County Sheriff's Crime Of The Week

Parker County Sheriff’s Criminal Investigations Division is assisting the Parker County Fire Marshal’s Office in investigating an arson incident of a church located in the 200 block of Eden Road, which has been named the Crime of the Week.

Parker County Sheriff Larry Fowler said deputies responded to the call Monday, Jan. 3, 2011 at around 1 p.m., where a church deacon reported unknown suspect(s) entered the property, threw a glass bottle at the church building and ignited toilet paper on the side of the building along with a doormat sometime between New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.

Sheriff’s Investigators and Fire Marshals are following up on leads.

Theft of firearm
• 2700 block of Tin Top Road, the complainant reported unknown suspect(s) stole a firearm from the residence.
Theft of property
• 100 block of Park Circle, the complainant reported unknown suspect(s) entered the property and stole an all-terrain vehicle.
• 900 block of Gholson Road, the complainant reported unknown suspect(s) entered the property and stole an all-terrain vehicle.
Burglary of a habitation
• 6400 block of FM 113, the complainant reported unknown suspect(s) entered the residence and stole a computer, a knife set, a stereo, and miscellaneous tools.

• 3400 block of Eagle’s Nest Drive, the complainant reported unknown suspect(s) entered the property and stole a trailer containing a welder and game box.
Burglary of a habitation
• 200 block of Westgate Drive, the complainant reported unknown suspect(s) entered the residence and stole a Nintendo game system with games.
• 900 block of Clayton Road, the complainant reported unknown suspect(s) entered the residence and stole jewelry, a camera and cigarettes.

Parker County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a shooting call on New Year’s Day.
Parker County Sheriff Larry Fowler said the 28-year-old male victim appeared to have suffered from an accidental self-inflicted gunshot wound to the center of his left hand with a .9 mm handgun at about 2 a.m.
Witnesses told deputies the victim dropped the magazine from the pistol and was attempting to clear a round from the chamber when he accidentally shot himself.
A physical altercation erupted between two additional men pertaining to the shooting and one man was arrested for assaulting a male family member at the same location in the 800 block of Old Garner Road.

The following offenses were observed or reported to the Parker County Sheriff’s Office Thursday, Dec. 30, through Sunday, Jan. 2, 2011.
Burglary of a vehicle
• 100 block of Meadow Hill Court, the complainant reported unknown suspect(s) entered the vehicles and stole identification cards, an owner’s manual, a garage door opener and a cell phone.
• 900 block of Valle Corte, the complainant reported unknown suspect(s) entered the property and stole license plates from four vehicles and a purse with an undisclosed amount of currency.
• 129 Hogle Street, the complainant reported unknown suspect(s) entered the vehicle and stole a stereo and a set of speakers.
