The following offenses were observed or reported to the Weatherford Police Department between Thursday 02-03-11 and Friday 02-04-11.

Theft:
02-03-11, 1800 S. Main St, an employee of Murphy USA reported that at approx 5pm an unknown male suspect drove off without paying for $60.00 worth of gasoline.

Criminal Mischief:
02-03-11, 2700 White Settlement Rd, a complainant reported that between 01-31-11 and 02-02-11 unknown suspect(s) had damaged a house that is under construction by apparently shooting several windows with a BB gun.

Assault:
02-03-11, 1500 Dicey Rd, a complainant reported that during an argument with her ex-boyfriend she was assaulted when he attempted to strangle her and shoved her into a wall. The complainant reported only minor injuries due to the assault.

The following offenses were observed or reported to the Weatherford Police Department between Wednesday 02-02-11 and Thursday 02-03-11.

Criminal Mischief:
02-02-11, 1400 N. Main St, a complainant reported that between 6pm and 9pm an unknown suspect had damaged a vehicle by apparently shooting a window with a BB gun.

02-02-11, 1400 N. Elm St, St, a complainant reported that between 01-31-11 and 02-02-11 an unknown suspect had damaged a vehicle by apparently shooting a window with a BB gun.

The following offenses were observed or reported to the Weatherford Police Department between Monday 01-31-11 and Tuesday 02-01-11.

Theft:
01-31-11, 1900 Santa Fe Dr, an employee of Ed Bell Construction reported that between 01-28-11 and 01-31-11 unknown suspect(s) had stolen the tires and rims off of a small trailer parked at a construction site.

Burglary of a Vehicle:
01-31-11, 1600 N. Elm St, a complainant reported that between 11pm 01-30-11 and 9am 01-31-11 unknown suspect(s) entered into a vehicle without permission and stole a prescription medication.

Criminal Mischief:
01-31-11, 1300 Pamela St, a complainant reported that between 1am 01-30-11 and 9am 01-31-11 unknown suspect(s) had damaged a vehicle by cutting a tire with a sharp object.

01-29-11, 200 W. Lake Dr, a complainant reported that between 8am and 2pm unknown suspect(s) had stolen parts off of an outboard motor stored at the marina.

01-28-11, 200 Adams Dr, an employee of AT&T reported that between 9am 01-27-11 and 11am 01-28-11 unknown suspect(s) had stolen two Blackberry cellular phones from the business.

Burglary of a Vehicle:
01-29-11, 2600 Lakeway Dr, a complainant reported that between 2am and 4am unknown suspect(s) entered into a vehicle without permission and stole a purse.

The following offenses were observed or reported to the Weatherford Police Department between Thursday 01-27-11 and Friday 01-28-11.

Theft:
01-27-11, 1800 S. Main St, an employee of Wal Mart reported that on 01-26-11 at approx 11am two unknown male suspects had fled the business without paying for a TV and DVD player.

01-27-11, 100 College Park Dr, an employee of Blockbuster reported that an unknown male suspect had left the store without paying for a DVD movie. The suspect was located and detained by responding officers who then recovered four stolen DVD movies. The suspect was arrested and charged with theft.

Theft:
01-26-11, 200 Zion Hill Rd, a complainant reported that between 01-19-11 and 01-23-11 unknown suspect(s) had stolen two air conditioning units from an apartment complex.

01-25-11, 1100 Ft Worth Hwy, an employee of Simms Lumber Co. reported that between 6pm 01-24-11 and 7am 01-25-11 unknown suspect(s) had entered into the fenced property without permission and stole numerous bundles of asphalt shingles.

Board Recognizes Citizens Police

[img_assist|nid=1459|title=Board Recognizes Citizens Police|desc=Board recognizes Citizens Police at Jan. 20 meeting Weatherford's Police Department began offering a Citizen Police Academy in 1992. Graduates of the first Academy expressed an interest in an ongoing program of instruction and support. And in January 1995, 18 graduates of previous academies became charter members of the Weatherford Citizen Police Academy Alumni Association (WCPAAA). The purpose of this organization is not only to promote a positive image of law enforcement, but also support and assist the Weatherford Police Department when requested. Participants have volunteered at Weatherford ISD Home Football Games, a high school playoff game held at Kangaroo Stadium, the Homecoming Parade, Prom, and Project Graduation.

01-25-11, 1800 E. Lake Dr, a complainant reported that between 7pm 01-24-11 and 8am 01-25-11 unknown suspect(s) had stolen a ten foot utility trailer that was parked next to a residence.

01-24-11, 200 Adams Dr, an employee of Ultra Cosmetics reported that on 01-22-11 at approx 12:30pm an unknown male suspect had left the business without paying for a bottle of perfume by concealing the bottle in his clothing.

01-24-11, 2600 E. Bankhead, an employee of Bowles Construction reported that between 01-21-11 and 01-24-11 unknown suspect(s) had stolen approx 80 gallons of diesel fuel from construction equipment that was parked in the 2600blk of E. Bankhead Dr.
