The North Texas Bulldogs Baseball Club will host its fourth annual fundraising golf tournament on April 14 at The Golf Club at The Resort on Eagle Mountain Lake with a 1 p.m. shotgun start. The North Texas Bulldogs Baseball Club, a non-profit organization, established in 2004 as a single select baseball team, now has five teams at five different age groups consisting of more than 60 Parker County families who share not only a passion for the game of baseball but also a commitment to the growth and development of the youth of Parker County. Girl Scouts in the Peach Blossom Prairie Service Unit, Texas Oklahoma Plains Council, will host a 100th Anniversary Celebration from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 24 at Grace First Presbyterian Church, 606 Mockingbird Lane in Weatherford. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. All past and present Girl Scouts are welcome. The celebration will include songs, Girl Scout memorabilia, guest speakers, brunch and more. A Bar-B-Que dinner and silent auction to benefit Parker County Meals on Wheels will be held Thursday, April 12 at the Parker County Sheriff’s Posse building west of Weatherford. Dinner will be served from 6-8:30 p.m. The silent auction closes at 8 p.m. Live music will be provided by Southern Heritage. Tickets are $30 for adults and $15 for children. Ride for Heroes
The 10th annual Moritz Chevrolet Ride for Heroes will take off from Aledo High School at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, April 21. More than 1,500 bike riders are expected to participate in routes of 8, 23, 35, 44, 62 and 73 miles through east Parker County. Proceeds benefit the Aledo, Hudson Oaks and Willow Park Fire Departments, the Sheriff's Reserve and Center of Hope. Entry fee is $30 until April 14, $35 after; age 15 and under $10 discount and must be accompanied by an adult. Sponsorship opportunities are still available and donations are welcome.
