American Legion Post 163 in Weatherford will host a Veterans Day Parade Saturday, Nov. 10. Opening Ceremonies will begin at 9:45 a.m. at a reviewing stand on the south side of Roo Stadium at the Weatherford Ninth Grade Center, 1007 S. Main St.
Jessica Pelletier will sing the National Anthem.
From the stadium, the parade will proceed north on S. Main St until it reaches Oak St., where it will turn left to Alamo, then proceed back to the south.
Floats will arrive at the staging area beginning at 8 a.m.

The Sons of Confederate Veterans will have a grave dedication at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 10 at Willow Springs Cemetery. Descendents of Confederate Veterans will be in attendance for the ceremony. The community is invited to attend. For more information call Calvin Allen at 817-304-0632.

An old fashioned tree lighting will be on Sunday, Nov. 25 at Clark Gardens, 567 Maddux Road, Weatherford. Santa and a live reindeer will be in attendance for lighting the tree, a weenie roast and s’mores. For more information visit www.clarkgardens.org.

The sixth annual Breakfast with Santa, hosted by CASA of Parker County, will be from 8-9:30 a.m. and 10-11:15 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 8 at Central Christian Church, 1602 South Main St., Weatherford. The event includes each child having their photo made with Santa, a goodie bag, crafts, face painting by WHS art students, story time with Mrs. Claus, hay ride and breakfast.
CASA board members, volunteers, friends, and community leaders will cook, serve, decorate and assist kids and families. Complimentary tickets will be distributed to the children served by CASA of Parker County, The Pythian Home, A Place for Grace, BACA children, Freedom House, Center of Hope, and others. Community families may purchase tickets to the event until Dec. 5 at the CASA office, 701 Palo Pinto St., Suite 701F, Weatherford (in the Parker Plaza shopping center).

The Parker County Soil and Water Conservation District #558 will meet in an open board meeting at 9 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 1 in the Conference Room located in the Agricultural Services Center, 604 North Main St., Suite 100, Weatherford, Texas. Paragon Art Festivals will have the Fort Worth Fine Art Festival from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 10 and Sunday, Nov 11 at Ridgmar Mall, 1888 Green Oaks Road, Fort Worth. Artists from across Texas and America will exhibit and sell original artwork in such mediums as painting, photography, sculpture, metalwork, digital art, jewelry, glass, ceramics, woodworking and more. BOOtanical will be from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 31 at Clark Gardens567 Maddux Road, Weatherford. Halloween activities will include games, costume contests for kids and adults and a costume contest dogs. Mr. and Mrs. Barker County and Mar. and Mrs. Palo Pinto Paws County will be crowned. A food drive at the park will benefit Center of Life Mineral Wells, Center of Hope Weatherford and local animal shelters. Admission is free with a donation of non-perishable food, pet food or cash. The Catholic Daughters of the Americas (CDA) will hold their third annual craft and vendor fair from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 10, at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church, 1802 Bethel Road, Weatherford. Goods will be available from over 35 crafters and vendors, and a bake sale will help raise funds for scholarship funds as well as local charities.
