The Aledo AdvoCats Clothes Closet will have a dollar sale from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 19 to March 2. The Clothes Closet is located at 9901 E. Bankhead Hwy, Ste. The Clothes Closet, a resale shop open to the public, allows economically disadvantaged children to shop for free. Proceeds from the store help the Aledo AdvoCats' programs for needy childen. The Aledo Children’s AdvoCats will celebrate 10 years of serving Aledo’s children at a special gala at 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19 in the Parker Room at Fire Oak Grill in Weatherford. Presented by Moritz Dealerships, the event will feature dinner, dancing and a silent auction. Music will be provided by 3 Fools on 3 Stools. Only 150 tickets are available at $50 per person. The Aledo Advocats will have a “Special In Season Dollar Sale” Saturday, September 10 through 17 at the Clothes Closet, 9901 E. Bankhead between 1187 and Ranch House Rd. Hours: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday and Saturdays.

The ESPN Randy Galloway Show will be broadcast from Railhead BBQ in Willow Park from 3-6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 9 in a fund raiser for the Aledo Children's AdvoCats, Aledo Youth Football and Aledo Youth Baseball.
Local sponsors have combined to provide an impressive list of prizes and live auction items.
Tickets will be available for $5 each (or five for $20) for a chance to win prizes including a Sundance Square package plus four Rangers Tickets; a Ladies Spa package; TCU package, which includes a Coach Patterson autographed helmet plus 2011-2012 football, baseball and basketball tickets; $250 Railhead gift certificate; two court side Dallas Mavericks tickets and dinner for four at Joe T’s.
Drawings will be held every 30 minutes.

The annual Aledo Children’s AdvoCats Run, Walk or Crawl is set for Saturday, April 30 at Aledo High School. The annual event raises funds for projects in the Aledo Independent School District that benefit underprivileged children.
The Kiddie K Fun Run begins at 8 a.m., followed by the 5K at 8:30 a.m. Race day registration is from 6:30 a.m. to 8 a.m. The awards presentation is at 9:30 a.m.
