Parker County Master Gardeners will host a free shade garden program Saturday, June 11 from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Azle Memorial Library, 263 E. Main Street, Azle. The community is invited to join as Steven Chamblee, Chief Horticulturist for Chandor Gardens in Weatherford presents a program, “Texas Tough Shade Gardens”. Steven Chamblee is a consulting editor and author for Neil Sperry’s Gardens magazine and writes his own monthly e-newsletter column.

The Master Gardeners will meet on Saturday, May 14, at Stuart’s Nursery, 2317 Ft Worth Highway, between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. The community is invited to bring their gardening questions to this free Ask-A-Master-Gardener program. A Vegetable Gardening specialist will be on site to discuss this topic with residents. Hand-outs on rainwater harvesting will also be available.
The Parker County Master Gardeners will host Dotty Woodson, Extension Program Specialist-Water Resources, Texas AgriLife Extension, at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 1 at the Ag. Services Center, 604 North Main in Weatherford. Seating is limited to 75. Registration is $15 and should be paid in advance at the extension office to secure a spot.
