At the meeting, members will host Amie Valpone, blogger and editor-in-chief of www.TheHealthyApple.com, as a speaker. She represents healthy gluten-free cooking New York-style. She also is a culinary nutritionist, professional recipe developer, food photographer and writer specializing in simple gluten-free and dairy-free “clean” recipes for the home cook. Amie's work appears on Martha Stewart, Fox News Health, WebMD, Prevention Magazine, Glamour Magazine, The Huffington Post, The Food Network, Clean Eating Magazine and many others.

The Gluten Intolerance Group of North Texas will meet on Saturday, Feb. 2 at The Hills Church, 6300 NE Loop 820, N. Richland Hills. The regular support group, as well as the free Celiac 101 class (for newly diagnosed), starts at 10 a.m. and both end at noon. At the meeting, members will host Dr. Cathy Breedon, the Clinical Nutrition Specialist at Sanford Health Center in Fargo, ND. She also teaches at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and at Minnesota State University at Moorhead. She annually presents over 30 national and state workshops for health professionals around the United States. Dr. Breedon is a Board-Certified Pediatric Nutrition Specialist. She has a wealth of information about nutrition and how we can make the most of our health using common sense nutrition with the foods we eat. The Gluten Intolerance Group of North Texas will meet at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 3 at The Hills Church in North Richland Hills, 6300 Northeast Loop 820, North Richland Hills. The group will host chef Dr. Claudia Pillow. She has taught GF cooking classes at Market Street for many years and will show how to make a perfect GF pie crust, stuffing for your turkey, holiday appetizers and more. Claudia is the coauthor of several GF cookbooks with her sister, Annalise Roberts, the latest being The Gluten Free Good Health Cookbook. In addition, new GF bakery owner, Casey Harris, of No Regrets Bakery will bring an assortment of GF bakery items for everyone to try. The free Celiac 101 Class will also meet.
