Careity Day is an annual one-day event offering cost-free mammograms to Parker County economically-challenged women with a pledge of cost-free treatment - from biopsy through hospitalization, chemotherapy and radiation therapy - for any participant diagnosed with breast cancer. Interested women should call 817-594-1227 for an appointment. Careity Day is Saturday, Sept. 29. Careity Foundation collaborators include The Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders, Weatherford Regional Medical Center, Moncrief Cancer Institute, Dr. Amy Gunter, and Solis Women’s Health, with financial assistance from Parker County Health Foundation. The event will take place at Solis Women’s Health, 914 Foster Ln., Weatherford.
The Cariety Foundation presents its annual western fashion show and auction, Branded, at 6:15 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 25 at the Cendera Center, 3600 Benbrook Hwy in Fort Worth. The event includes dinner by Reata, upscale western style show, live and silent auction, dancing with live entertainment and charity casino.
