Special to The Community News: Selma Johnson, the current Ms. Senior Parker County, is pictured with Barbara Rumfield, the first Ms. Senior Parker County.All Parker County ladies over the age of 60 are invited to enter the 12th Annual Ms. Senior Parker County Pageant that will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday, April 13, in the Alkek Center at Weatherford College. The proceeds will go to the local Meals-on-Wheels program. Contestants will be judged on evening wear, talent and an interview by the master of ceremonies. The Parker County Senior Center will hold a stew and cornbread supper from 6-7:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 31 at the center, located at 1225 Holland Lake Drive in Weatherford. Tickets are on sale now for $7. For more information, call 817-596-4640.
The 10th Annual Ms. Senior Parker County Pageant will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday,
May 14 at the Weatherford College Alkek Auditorium. Any lady 60 or older who is a resident of Parker County is eligible to enter the pageant.
Each contestant will be judged on the following: formal evening wear, talent, and personal interview. The contestant selling the most tickets will win a prize.
