Toys for Tots underway

The holiday season is just around the corner, and the Town of Annetta has announced the kick-off of the 2024 Toys for Tots Campaign.

This year, the aim is to bring even more joy to underprivileged children in Parker County. From now until December 13, 2024, we're collecting new, unwrapped toys for children ages 0-14.

Especially needed are toys for pre-teens and teenagers. Here are some ideas to get you started:

• Sporting equipment, bags, and balls
• Books and backpacks
• Cosmetics, purses, and watch/wallet gift sets
• Bath gift sets
• Board games
• Radio-controlled cars and trucks
• Handheld electronics
• Skateboards and helmets
• Curling irons, hair straighteners, and hair dryers

Please note, they cannot accept used toys, realistic-looking weapons, toys with candy or food, or toys with chemicals (experimental labs, acid, crystal projects, etc.).

Every donation, big or small, makes a difference. Last year, Annetta residents donated two boxes of toys and a bicycle.
