Thomas “Tom” Melvin Walker, Jr., 77, passed away on Monday, January 22, 2024.

Tom was born December 13, 1946, in Fort Worth, to the late Thomas Walker, Sr. and Margaret (McKinzie) Walker.

Tom graduated from North Side High School Class of 1965 in Fort Worth and then attended North Texas State University, graduating with a Bachelor's degree, where he was also actively involved in Campus Crusaders for Christ.

Following his academic studies, he enlisted in the military, proudly serving his country in the United States Air Force, where he was stationed in Guam during the Vietnam War. Upon his return to the States, Tom built a career in the sales industry. He was naturally charismatic and excelled in his career. Tom could have a conversation with anyone, and people always felt comfortable with him.

Tom will be remembered as being most congenial and encouraging; he always told people how proud he was of them. He was a wonderful son, father, and grandfather, and he gave great honor to his parents. Tom enjoyed ballroom dancing and singing in various quartets and choirs in his church community.

The family wishes to extend special thanks to Cindi Neverdousky and Jim Plummer for the friendship, love, and vital roles they played in Tom's life and care.

Tom is survived by his son, Preston Walker; son and wife, Austin and Courtney Walker; granddaughter, Margaret Walker; grandson, Wyatt Walker; brother, Ted Walker; and nephew, Chad Walker.

A Funeral Ceremony was held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, January 27, 2024, at the Galbreaith Pickard Hilltop Chapel, in Willow Park.

A private interment will happen at a later date at Mount Olivet Cemetery, in Fort Worth, Texas.
