Roy Earl Ray, 81, passed away on Wednesday, July 26, 2023.
Roy was born March 22, 1942, in Aledo, to Hubert Ray and Elva (Mitchell) Ray. Among his many accomplishments, Roy graduated with a Bachelor's degree from TCU, proudly served his country in the United States Army in the 82nd Airborne, and owned Roy E. Ray Insurance Agency. In addition to his professional achievements, Roy was a member of Parker County Cowboy Church, a cattleman, and a sports enthusiast, specifically enjoying golf and football. He was a loving husband and father and will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and local community.
Roy is survived by his beloved wife, Carol Ray of Aledo, Texas; children, Desiree Taylor (Dennis), Kathy Bone (Lewis), Hubert M. Ray, and Michelle Ray; grandchildren, Jacob Taylor, Brittany Taylor, Benjamin Taylor, Julius Bone, and Lou Bone; great-grandson, Sonny Malicki; and sister, Mona Fields.
A funeral ceremony will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, August 1, at the Parker County Cowboy Church, 5050 FM 5, Aledo. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, July 31, at Galbreaith Pickard Hilltop Chapel, 4941 I-20 Frontage Rd, Willow Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Parker County Cowboy Church.
