Trinity Christian Academy is pleased to announce the selection of TCA senior Caroline Thompson as a National Merit Scholar recipient. Based on the commendation from Trinity Christian Academy and National Merit Scholarship Corporation, a Letter of Commendation was presented to this scholastically talented senior.

About 34,000 Commended students throughout the nation are being recognized for their exceptional academic promise. Commended students placed among the top 50,000 students who entered the 2023 competition by taking the 2022 Preliminary SAT/ National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT).

“Those being named Commended Students have demonstrated outstanding potential for academic success,“ commented a spokesperson for NMSC. “These students represent a valuable national resource. Recognizing their accomplishments, as well as the key role their schools play in their academic development, is vital to the advancement of educational excellence in our nation. We hope that this recognition will help broaden their education opportunities and encourage them to continue as they continue their pursuit of academic success.”

“Caroline is one of the highest achieving students I've taught. She has natural intelligence and an ease with which she learns material. She is dedicated to working hard and strives to understand concepts at a deeper level than is sometimes presented. I've enjoyed getting to watch how her mind works and how she puts her learning into action.” Ashley Reynoso, TCA Secondary Teacher.

"Caroline Thompson demonstrates quintessential skills in the classroom from her superior critical thinking to masterful compositions to insightful literary interpretations--she is a joy to teach and a blessing to our courses."-Dee Ann Day , TCA Secondary Teacher.

“ Caroline is a 'best of the best' type of student, always operating at the highest levels in everything she does. The best part though, is that she does so with grace, joy, and humility as an excellent role model for younger students' academic performance .” -Jesse Whiteaker, TCA Secondary Principal.

Caroline says, “The most influential teacher during my time at TCA was my tenth and eleventh-grade history teacher Mrs. Kruse. She pushed me to be the best student I could be and showed me the immense importance of studying subjects outside of my comfort zone. I am forever grateful for the impact she had on my life inside and outside of the classroom.”

Caroline Thompson is the daughter of Bert and Bridgit Thompson of Weatherford, TX.
