Mayor Charles Marsh of The City of Annetta South presided over the Special Meeting of the Annetta City Council for the last time, September 11, 2025. Marsh had been a member of the Annetta South Planning and Zoning Board for several years before his appointment to Mayor in 2016.

The Annetta South City Council presented Marsh with a signed Proclamation expressing their appreciation and honoring him for his dedicated service to the City of Annetta South.

Marsh served faithfully exhibiting the highest standards of excellence as the Mayor of Annetta South, always prepared to help, serve and support being available to answer questions of citizens and council members.

As Mayor, he served without compensation and made great contributions, such as the Comprehensive Plan, which has served as guide through the years. In Mayor Marsh’s resignation letter, he endorsed David Goolsby, council member Pl 4 for the next Mayor.

The City Council voted unanimously to appoint David Goolsby as the new Mayor of Annetta South. Mayor Goolsby will be sworn into office October 14, 2025.
