Aledo athletes receive honors

Several area athletes received academic all-state accolades from the Texas High School Coaches and the Texas Girls Coaches Association recently.

THSCA honors for girls basketball included Natalie Anderson, first team, and Caroline Browning as honorable mention. The duo also received accolades from the TGCA.

Four players from Weatherford were honored by the THSCA in girls basketball. They are Bonnie Jones, elite team; Emma Melven, first team; and Kaylie Perez and Baylea Ragle, honorable mentions.
