Ladycats knock off Weatherford

The Aledo Ladycats made their varsity softball record 10-1 with a home-opening 2-0 win over Weatherford Tuesday night. Aledo's runs came in the second inning when senior shortstop Lyndi Samuelson drove in teammates Andi Shahan and Jennifer Swinney with a two-out triple.

Aledo opens its district schedule Friday against Joshua. The JV game begins at 7 p.m. and the varsity game is at 5 p.m.
