She was a long-time resident of Weatherford. Shows was an avid gardner and loved to read.
Shows is preceded in death by her parents; husband Wesley; four sisters; two brothers;
and one grandson.
Survivors include son David Kim Shows; daughter Saundra Kay Brown; brother Clifford Cartwright and wife Claudine; granddaughter Rennee; three great-granddaughters; and several nieces and nephews.

Rosacker was born in Wausau, Wis. She attended the University of Wisconsin at Green Bay and enjoyed a career in radiology for over 30 years. One of her greatest joys was her extensive involvement with the Marine Corps Toys for Tots annual toy drive which she enjoyed participating in for the past 15 years with her son Andy.

Joe Wayne Walker was born in Clarita, Okla., Walker was a resident of Poolville for several years, a retired Program Manager for KTVT Television and a rancher.
Survivors include daughter Kandy Jo Cina of Norman, Okla.; son David Wayne Karnes, Tulsa, Okla.; two grandchildren Moriah and Ashlan Cina; two great grandchildren Kaliauna and Colt; close friends Larry Schultz of Poolville and his daughter Shannon and husband Carl Stidston.

Juana Gonzalez, 58, of Weatherford, died Wednesday, August 4, 2010 in a Weatherford hospital. She was born June 13, 1952 in Mexico. Juana was a member of Iglesia Evangelical Cristiana Espiritual, a housekeeper and loved taking care of her family.

Survivors: Husband Nemorio Gonzalez; daughter, Norma Trevino of Weatherford; sons, Juan Jesus Guerrero of Weatherford and Eddie Hernandez of Weatherford; brother, Urbano Ovalle of Mexico and eight grandchildren

Funeral service 3 pm Sunday, August 8, 2010 at the Primera Iglesia Bautista. Interment will follow in Tin Top Cemetery. Visitation: 6-8 PM, Saturday August 7, 2010 at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel. Galbreaith Pickard in charge of arrangements.

Gordon was born in Haskell to Owen and Mayme Toliver. He graduated from Trent High School in 1955 and attended Cisco Jr. College and later transferred to Sul Ross University. He served in the U.S. Army in Alaska and played on the Yukon Command baseball team. He was employed with Cities Service Oil Company and their subsequent firm for 32 years; he retired in 1999 from the oil and gas industry. He was a member of North Side Baptist Church, the Glory Sunday School Class, the Gideon’s, and the Parker County American Legion, as well as volunteering with the Texas Baptist Men, Salvation Army Disaster Relief and volunteer Christian Builders.

Wood was born to Luther and Loweda Wood. He attended Aledo schools, Weatherford College and Texas Christian University. He was married to his sweetheart, Renna Mixson Wood, for 42 years. Strong in his ethics and values, he was always true to his word, and he was a heartfelt patriot. A hard worker with an entrepreneurial spirit, he was in business for himself most of his life. He owned and operated Wood Wholesale Greenhouses and Landscaping. For 11 years, Wood and his wife, Renna, managed the No. 1-rated Starr Hollow Golf Club until 2006.
Wood was preceded in death by his father Luther Wood.

Griffin was born in Azle to Thomas Eugene Griffin, Jr. and Patricia Ann Steele Griffin Vernia. He attended Azle High School and TCJC in Fort Worth. Robert was extremely active in Suicide Prevention Teams and Grief Counseling Teams. As an accomplished artist, he was also a Pencil Art Instructor.
He was preceded in death by his father Thomas Griffin and step-father Larry Vernia.

He was born in Roby to Calvin and Margaret Williamson. He was a retired aircraft mechanic and was employed with General Dynamics for many years. Williamson was a Baptist and a member of the Masonic Lodge for over 50 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and gardening.
His parents, four brothers, and three sisters precede him in death.
Survivors include his wife Opal; daughters Betty Peoples and husband Melvin of Weatherford, Earnestine Sutherland and husband Luke of Mansfield, son Bobby Williamson and wife Colita of Euless; 10 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

Nix was the daughter of Rudolph and Minnie Wilhite in Ridgway. Nix was a longtime resident of Weatherford and formerly of Fort Worth. Nix really enjoyed decorating her home, sewing and gardening.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister.
Survivors include husband of 54 years W.R. Nix of Weatherford; son Ricky Nix of Weatherford; daughter Sheryle Nix and husband Jim, of Decatur; grandchildren Chris Smith and wife Christie, of Saginaw, and Kyle Nix of Weatherford; brother Sonny Wilhite; and sisters Anne Stengal and Jerry Pollard.

Rufus Alonzo (Lonnie) Ivie, Jr., 98, passed away Tuesday, July 27th in
Arlington. Irene Williams Ivie, 99, passed away Wednesday, July 28th in Arlington.
Dr. Ivie was born February 11, 1912 in Beeville to R. A. Ivie, Sr. and
Lida Fowler Ivie.
He graduated from Beeville High School, South Texas State in San Marcos and the University of Texas Dental School in Houston.
Irene was born March 27, 1911 in Pauls Valley, OK to Alfred Riley and Mary Dunaway Williams. She was a graduate of Tolar High School.
