Wilburn Howard "Coley" Coleman, 76, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, died Thursday, September 2, 2010, with his family at his side.
Wilburn was born August 14, 1934 in Springtown to Howard and Gladys Morrow Coleman. He graduated from Springtown High School where he was an all-star basketball player, then he attended Weatherford College for two years. On November 4, 1955, Wilburn married the love of his life, Melba Oxford, and they began their life together.
Wilburn was an avid hunter, and a member of the Masonic Lodge. He honorably served his country in the United States Army from 1957 to 1959. Wilburn was employed by Lockheed-Martin for 30 years.

Bobbie Faye Cargill, 70, of Weatherford, died Friday, September 3, 2010. Mrs. Cargill was born January 6, 1940 in Silver Lake, Texas. She was a homemaker and a member of Greenwood Baptist Church. She loved playing bingo, sewing, crocheting, song writing and spending time with her grandchildren. Her husband; Alvin Charles Cargill, preceded her in death.

Calvin “Ike” Brown
Maj Calvin “Ike” Brown, USAF Retired, died Sunday morning, September 5, 2010 in a local care facility. Born January 31, 1923 in DeSoto, Ike was a longtime resident of Parker County. Retired from the United States Air Force, Ike was a member of South Main Church of Christ and a Shriner. Survivors include his sons, David Brown of Mansfield and Keith Brown of Gary; sister, Bernita Singletary of Weatherford; brother, Don Brown of Hidaway; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Memorial service was held Tuesday September 7, 2010 at Martin Crest Assisted Living and Memory Care Center in Weatherford. Services provided by Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.

Doris Ruth HessDoris Ruth Hess

Doris Ruth Hess, 83, passed away on August 31, 2010 in her home at Millsap. Ruth was born December 4, 1926 in Millsap to Jack and Nora Langdon Reasoner.

Mrs. Hess retired from Motorola at Fort Worth in 1991. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Juanelle Shockler, Mary Jo Hightower and Lois Wheeler; son, Ronald Jones; stepson, Kenny Hess and great granddaughter, Cassie Maddux.

Ruth is survived by her loving and caring husband, Dick Hess of Millsap; daughter, Sandra Maddux and husband, Alton of Millsap; six grandchildren, three great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jesse Christeen Greenway died August 29, 2010.

Christeen was proud to be born a Texan and was a longtime resident of Weatherford. She was born January 26, 1924 in Hamlin, Texas to Jesse Armfield and Gertie Cain Dunn. She was the second child of four, with one sister and two brothers.

Christeen married Oscar Riley Greenway, Jr. in Anson, Texas on August 19, 1942.
She enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening and canning her home grown vegetables and fruits, helping people, and she had a quick wit.

John Mark Adcock, 49, passed away Tuesday, August 24, 2010.
Memorial: 11 a.m. Saturday, August 28, 2010 at White's Chapel of
Memories, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford.
John was born April 11, 1961 in Fort Worth the son of Sam and Helen
Adcock. The family moved to Weatherford in 1966. John was a
graduate of Weatherford High School where he played football and
was all-district for two years. He later attended Weatherford
College, University of Texas at Austin and graduated from
University of North Texas in Denton. John was preceded in death by
his father.
Survivors: mother, Helen Adcock; brother, Eric Adcock and wife,
Dawn; nephews, Matt, Josh, and Ben; special aunt, Merle Burgess;
and numerous other loving aunts, uncles and cousins.

James “Sonny” McCray, 74, passed away Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at his residence. Sonny was born October 13, 1935 in Fort Worth to Hall and Blanche McCray, who preceded him in death. Sonny was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, employee and friend, who loved his kids and grandkids unconditionally. He graduated from Poly High School in 1953 and attended many reunions, which he loved. He later retired from Howell Instruments, a company close to his heart, after 47 years of loyal service. Sonny enjoyed golfing with his kids and friends, traveling, working in the yard and hanging out with Bear, Sam, and Lady, his dogs. He was a pencil sketch artist with amazing talent, and his sense of humor is something we will all miss.

John Burt passed from this life to a better one on Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2010.

      John was born in Seminole, Okla., on Nov. 3, 1934, but lived his
adult life in Fort Worth, until moving to Weatherford eight years
ago. He was a member of South Main Church of Christ in Weatherford, where
he was lovingly known to all the children as Mr. John, "the
sucker man".
      John retired from a teaching career in 1995 and enjoyed retirement
taking care of his goats. He also enjoyed woodcarving and was a

Ralph Jesse Bailiff Jr., 48, of Weatherford died Sunday, August 22, 2010. Ralph was born in Pikeville, Kentucky on January 5, 1962.

He was a resident of Parker County for many years where he worked for Jamak since 1986, was a member of North Side Baptist Church, President of Weatherford College Basketball Booster Club, Dallas Off-Road Bike Club, and Fort Worth Mountain Bike Association. He loved golf.

Stella Beatrice Goodnight, 90, of Weatherford, died Wednesday August 18, 2010. Born September 29, 1919, Bea was a resident of Parker County for many years.
Survivors include her husband, Rayford Daniel Goodnight of Weatherford; son, James Goodnight and wife Rochelle of Waco; daughter, Nancy Goodnight Hard and husband Meredith of McKinney; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
A memorial service was held in the First United Methodist Church on Saturday, August 21.
