Mary BondMary BondMary was born to Ed and Carena Mills Pettit July 13, 1921 in Paris. She had lived in the Azle area for sixty years. Mary dearly loved her family and will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Bond in 1973.

Survivors: children, Richard Bond of Springtown and Elaine Reynolds and husband, Charlie of Azle; grandchildren, Ricky and Jimmy Bond; five great-grandchildren; sister, Grace Huckaby; brother, R. F. Pettit; and a host of family and friends.

Betty was born March 2, 1931 in Hot Springs, Arkansas the daughter of Jim and Laura Hood. She had been a resident of Weatherford for 30 years. Betty worked for The Carnation Company in Fort Worth and also Prontos in Weatherford. She was preceded in death by her husband, Travis Leonard Cox in 1996; children, Jimmy Cox and Carolyn Cox; and brothers, Marvin and Travis Hood.
Survivors include, sons, Kenneth Leonard Cox and Larry Logan Cox and wife, Barbara, all of Weatherford; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Hazel Gwen Ketcham passed away suddenly on Sunday, March 6, 2011 in Weatherford where she resided for over 20 years. Hazel was born August 22, 1925 in Wheellock, Texas, the eldest of three daughters born to Homer and Gertrude Barnett. She attended Brownwood schools. As a young woman she was active in the Eastern Stars. She spent much of her working career with State Reserve Insurance Company in Ft Worth.

Warren KirkpatrickWarren KirkpatrickWarren was born June 4, 1928 in Weatherford to Frank and Sybil Albright Kirkpatrick.
Warren Kirkpatrick graduated from Weatherford High School, Weatherford College and North Texas University in Denton.
He was retired from Stewart Title in Weatherford. Warren was also retired from the Sonora School District where he worked as a librarian. Previously he taught high school art for Temple ISD.
Warren developed a deep love of Japan and everything Japanese while in the U.S. Army and stationed in Japan after the Korean Conflict.

Betty RushtonBetty RushtonBetty was born September 12, 1938 daughter of the late Horace and Julia Elkins in Winston Salem, North Carolina. She retired as R.N. House Supervisor from Palo Pinto General Hospital. Mrs. Rushton was also a Registered Nurse for Integra Care Hospice. She was a member of the Episcopalian Altar Guild and the Mineral Wells Bowling League. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Rushton in 1999.

Mark Allen McGowan was born Nov. 26, 1986, in Fort Worth, son of the late Eddie Lynn McGowan and Tammy Jo Kelly Feimer. He graduated from Weatherford High School with the class of 2005. Mark, nicknamed "Tweeter" during high school, played on the varsity football team and also baseball for WHS. He also played softball for the Blaze and New River Fellowship. It was said that if you cut Mark, he would bleed maroon; he absolutely loved all things Aggie. Mark was a member of New River Fellowship.
Mark was preceded in death by his father in November 2010.

Max A. King of Brock, Texas passed away on February 21, 2011 with his family by his side. He was a member of Brock United Methodist Church, A Past Master Mason of Olive Branch Lodge # 792 and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. He served in the U.S. Navy, SeeBees 5th Battalion.
He is preceded in death by his parents Bruce and Ada King.
Max leaves behind his wife, Marjorie King; sons, Joe Dwayne of Brock, Maxie Lee and wife, Rosemary of Abilene; grandchildren, Rose Lee, Bonnie, Branden and Shady Rae; great-grandchildren, Waylon and Tristle. He is also survived by his sister, Fern Jones of Brock.

Daniel Edgar Bisson, age 27, died on Thursday, February 17, 2011 in Fort Worth, Texas. Daniel was born on December 28, 1983 to Michael and Tonya Jones Bisson in San Diego, California. He worked as a Correctional Officer for the Parker County Sheriff Office for two years and was part of the swart team for the Parker County jail.

She was employed with Aledo ISD for over 22 years, most recently as a music teacher’s aide at McCall Elementary.
There will be a celebration of Bonnie's life on February 24, 2011 at 4:30 p.m. which will take place at McCall Elementary School.
