Bill EastmanBill EastmanB. C. “Bill” Eastman, age 81, of Aledo, died Tuesday, July 19, 2011 in Fort Worth.

Bill was born April 23, 1930 in Aledo, where he had lived all his life. He was a retired office machine salesman and technician, caretaker for the Aledo Brown Cemetery, Veteran of the U. S. Air Force and member of the Aledo United Methodist Church. During his life he served as a member of the Aledo School Board, as an Aledo Volunteer Fireman, and on the board member of the Aledo Community Center.

Linda Boyett

Linda was born September 6, 1941 in Thalia, daughter of Richard and Fannie Shultz Johnson. She was a long time resident of North Texas. Linda enjoyed gardening and cooking. She was also an avid artist. The love of Linda's life was the Lord. Preceding Linda in death were her parents and one brother.

Following a two year battle with cancer, Linda is survived by her husband, Homer L. Boyett of Springtown; daughter, Tammy Boyett of Dallas; son, Chris Boyett and wife, Donzi of Springtown; grandchildren, Brady and Kelly; four sisters and one brother; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Garland GreenleeGarland Greenlee

Garland was born and raised in Breckenridge, Texas and was a proud member of the Buckaroo Class of 1953. He played on the State Championship Football Team in 1952 and 1953. After retiring from the automobile business he was employed by the Breckenridge ISD as a bus driver and after moving to Fort Worth to be close to his children he was employed by the Aledo ISD and the children lovingly called him Mr. G.

He married Maurene Nunley on May 5, 1956 after they met in a drug store in Abilene. They were married over 25 years and remained close friends until her death in 2004. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Treva June Greenlee Prather.

Royce was born on May 27, 1944 in Mineral Wells. He served in the Air Force reserves. He was a life-long resident of Mineral Wells.Along with his Dad, Royce built and operated the Dairy Mart until it was sold in 1970. He was co-publisher and editor of the Mineral Wells Reporter until it was sold to the Mineral Wells Index.Royce was a reporter for the Mineral Wells Index and a contributing reporter for the Fort Worth Star-Telegram for several years after selling the MW Reporter.

Royce is preceded in death by his parents, J. C. and Louise Purefoy.

Royce is survived by his brother, George Purefoy and wife, Debra; niece, Christal; all of Frisco, Texas; his aunt, Oneida Crounse of Mineral Wells; his uncle and aunt, Walter and Margaret Sears of Mount Vernon, Texas.
