Lynda Craighead Wood
Lynda was born May 24, 1943 to Ralph Theodore and Roberta Gaden Craighead in Woodward, Oklahoma. She worked as an administrative assistant for Bank One and later for AmeriCredit. Lynda was a member of First United Methodist Church of Weatherford. She was a circle member at FUMC and a board member of the Parker County American Cancer Society and D.A.R.

Lynda was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph T. Craighead and Roberta Gaden Craighead; and nephew, Clay Craighead.

Survivors: daughter and son-in-law, Christy and Leonardo Taylor of Weatherford; son, Neil Wood of Weatherford; grandchildren, Carissa Wood, Jessica Wood, Jeremy Taylor and Shelby Taylor, all of Weatherford; brothers, Ted Craighead and wife, Odalee, of Mutual, Oklahoma and Chris Craighead and wife, Paige, of Weatherford, Oklahoma; and friend, Stanley Johnston of Weatherford; and many more loving family and friends.

Winfred H. Scherer
Winfred was born August 25, 1915 in Weatherford, and lived on a farm with his family. He graduated from Weatherford High School in 1934 and served in the National Guard from 1936 to 1942. During this time he met and married Marie Berkley and remained married to her for 69 years, until her death in 2010. During their life, they purchased a farm in North Parker County where they lived, farmed, ran a dairy, and ranched for 66 years. Winfred was a dedicated husband and father to his three daughters while teaching them his incredible work ethics.

Survivors include daughters, Faye Glover of Weatherford, Winnie Moser and husband, Dennis, of Dallas, Louise Curtice and husband, Jim, of Houston; grandchildren, Donna Glover, Tony West and David Glover; great-grandchildren, Jayme, Kelsey, Jourdan and Travis Glover; and one surviving sister, Lois Jackson of Houston and numerous other loving relatives and friends.

Grover was born April 10, 1931 to Jefferson and Mary Wisdom in Ladonia. He retired from Bell helicopter.

Grover was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Ruth Wisdom; and son, Barron Lee Wisdom.

Survivors include his loving sons, Glenn Wisdom and wife, Pam of Weatherford, Danny Wisdom and wife, Jennifer of Red Oak, Mark Wisdom of Arlington; grandchildren, Glenn Jr., Aimee, Blake, Haley, Brooke, Tamatha, Matthew and Ethan; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Sandra Kay (Sandy) Ingram

Sandy was born November 24, 1970 to Myra Hartness Sanders in Arlington. She worked over the years as a hairdresser, receptionist, assistant project manager and later in life as a home health care worker. Sandy was a member of South Burleson Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Jack and Peggy Hartness.

Survivors include her son, Jack Ingram of Burleson; mother, Myra Sanders of Burleson; sisters, Pam Shields and husband, Ronny, Bellvia Christian and husband, Gary, DJean Cox and husband, Bobby and Nancy Guerrero and husband, Greg; and many nieces, nephews and loving friends.

Hermon "Odell" Thompson was born Feb. 11, 1935 in Shay, Okla. to Jud and Melba Thompson. He married the love of his life, Joyce Turner in Durant, Okla. on May 8, 1954 and moved to Fort Worth working for Hobbs Trailers until retiring after 33 years. After retirement, he was a cattle rancher and loved working his herd of Black Angus cattle. He was a member of the Grand Lodge of Texas A.F.A.M. Tarrant No. 942 in Fort Worth. Odell worked hard his entire life and loved life and family living everyday to the fullest. He was a strong faithful husband, loving father, and a true and loyal friend. Odell was loved and cherished and will be sorely missed by all that knew him.

Odell was preceded in death by his parents; son, Herman Ray Thompson; and brothers, JB Thompson, Donald Thompson, Leroy Thompson and Lavon Thompson.

Survivors: wife of 58 years, Joyce Thompson of Springtown; daughter, Myra Thompson-Hodges and husband, Melton; grandson, Levi Hodges and wife, Carmon King-Hodges; great-grandchildren, Kade, Cameron, Klayton and Layniebeth all of Azle;son, Charlie Thompson and wife, Pam; grandson, Burt; granddaughter, Kathryn Thompson all of Springtown; loving aunts, Jessie and Jett Thompson of Kingston, Okla; sister-in-laws, Juanita Dobson of Weatherford, Helen Benight of Kingston, Okla, Lucille Thompson of Oklahoma City, Okla.; and Mary Thompson of Kingston, Okla.;brother/sister-in-law, Charles and Viola Turner of Bevier, Mo. and all of their families; and a host of loving friends and neighbors.

James was born December 14, 1937 in Ashland, Ky. He honorably served his country in the United States Air Force. James worked on numerous nuclear power plants for 20 years and on the construction of Reagan National Airport as well on major construction projects in the Middle East. James was an avid golfer, and loved his family very much.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and first wife, Barbara Bozarth.

Survivors include wife, Ingrid Bozarth of Weatherford; son, Nathan Bozarth and wife, Diane of Washington, D.C.; daughter, Shelley Gentile of Monroe N.Y. and Linda Bozarth of Miami, Fla.; stepson, Erik Thompson and wife, Mary Lou of Edgewood, N.M.; daughter, Susanne Knies and husband, Bob of Arlington; seven grandchildren; brother, Cecil Bozarth of Fla.; sister, Pat; and a host of loving friends.

William "Bill" Frederick Lipstreu

William "Bill" Frederick Lipstreu was born January 10, 1924 in Aubrey to Otis Arthur and Lula Adams Keen Lipstreu. He graduated from Aubrey school in 1940 and entered North Texas state Teachers College (now NTSU). He left school in 1942 and entered the United States Air Force graduating as a pilot and second lieutenant in June 1944 and began serving in Okinawa June 1946 for ten months flying transport flights.

Bill married Lynelle "Nell" Baker in May 1947 residing in Denton as he finished his college education with a master's degree. In 1949 he began teaching business subjects at Boyd High School. In 1953 he became principal and later in 1956 superintendent. He remained in Boyd until 1970. Bill moved to Springtown as a principal until his retirement in 1986 where Lipstreu Elementary in Springtown is named for him. He was a 50 plus year member of the Boyd Masonic Lodge and a member of the Eureka Lodge in Springtown.

Retirement was a great time for them at the Circle W RV Ranch in Rockport. Bill loved to fish, play golf, play cribbage and Texas Hold em. He also volunteered at the Live Oak Elementary School in Rockport. He was able to enjoy most of these until April of this year when congestive heart failure weakened him and he returned home to Wise County. Bill loved Rockport and has many close friends at the Circle W. He was a perfect gentleman with a kind forgiving heart and was loved by many.

Hardy Pierce Mills III

Hardy was a very devoted husband and father. He married Cathy August 19, 1981 and enjoyed 31 wonderful years of marriage. Hardy graduated from Diamond Hill High School in 1972 and worked in the transportation department at Lockheed Martin for 36 years. He lived everyday to its fullest and expressed how many blessing he had in his life until the very end. Hardy was a very proud man especially of his family, he had a great sense of humor and wanted everyone else to be happy. He loved the outdoors especially hunting, fishing, and camping with his three sons and his friends. Hardy was a very patriotic man and proud to live in the United States of America. He served his country honorable in the United States Marine Corp 1972-1976. Hardy loved old western movies and playing with his grandchildren he was loved by many and will be truly missed.

Hardy was preceded in death by his Father, Hardy P. Mills Jr. in 1974; brother, Gerald Mills in 2010.

Survivors: wife, Cathy Mills of Weatherford; sons, (Sonny) Hardy P. Mills IV and wife, Danielle, Joshua Mills and wife, Wendy, Jacob Mills and wife, Cindy, all of Fort Worth; mother, Alice Walden of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Ethan, Ebin, Hardy Pierce Mills V (Shane), and Madelyn.

Margie was born February 10, 1931 in Mount Pleasant to James T. and Lovdie Deaton Gerron. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Springtown.

She was preceded in death by her, parents; husband, Sherman Klein in June, 2006; twin sister, Audra Stark; also sisters, Mary Jo Howard, Helen Geron and Betty Lou Randall; brother, James Gerron.

Survivors: Daughter, Linda Burtnett and husband, Robert of Springtown. grandchildren, Brian, Shane and wife, Amiee and Jerrod Burtnett and wife, Ellen; great-grandchildren, Bryson, Addyson, Jadon, Katlyn, Adyn, Brennyn and Emily.

Fredrick Wendell Heidemann

Fredrick Wendell Heidemann was born April 26, 1947 to Wendell and Doris Heidemann in Janesville, Iowa.

Fred loved anything and everything to do with aviation and was a member of the Springtown Radio Control Club. He enjoyed building and flying radio controlled planes, attending airshows and watching military aircraft documentaries. Fred honorably served his country in the U. S. Air Force from 1966-1971 during the Vietnam War. His greatest love in life was his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother; and a sister.

Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Karen Heidemann; daughter, Tracy Groves and husband, Louis;son, Daniel Heidemann and wife, Brenda Heidemann;grandchildren, Hector, Dionicio and Merri Fernandez, Brendan Heidemann and Tracelyn Groves; brothers, John and Joe Heidemann; sisters, Jean Sackett, Alice Franklin, Doris Ann Jansen, Merri Reninger and Rosalie Hiatt; and a host of extended family and friends.
