David V. HardinDavid V. Hardin

David was born January 2, 1944 in Bagwell to Travis and Jessie Hardin. He was very devoted to God and to his family and enjoyed all aspects of life, including fishing, gardening and his pets. David was a long time resident
of Poolville and a retired produce manager. He was much loved and will be missed by all.

David was preceded in death by his wife, Norma; his son, Randy; his parents; two brothers and one sister.

SURVIVORS: Son and daughter-in-law Mike and Christy Hardin; three grandchildren, Erica, Aaron and Jonathan; sister, Clara and numerous
relatives and friends.

Walter L. UptainWalter L. Uptain
Walter was born near Clarksville, Arkansas the son of John and Martha Uptain. He served during World War II and was proud to be an American. Walter was a loving husband and father and worked hard to support his family. Walter was employed as a diesel mechanic for 33 years at Darr Equipment. He was known as the mechanic to call when there was a problem with a tractor. After his retirement from Darr, Walter worked for Fort Worth Crushed Stone for 18 years. He retired the second time at the age of 80.

Alvin Hill Prince Jr.Alvin Hill Prince Jr.
Alvin Hill Prince Jr. was born Oct. 29, 1918, in Valley Mills. He graduated from Valley Mills High School in 1936. Alvin was employed by Humble Oil & Refining Co. in both Ingleside and Baytown.

During his years with Humble Oil and Refining Co., he served almost four years during World War II in the United States Marine Corps. Most of his military time was on Midway and Guam islands. Shortly after his discharge from the Marine Corps, he went to work for Texas New Mexico Power Co. He retired in 1983 after a 36-year career with the company. While with this company, he lived in Clifton, Hamilton, Alvin, LaMarque, League City, Fort Worth and Azle.

Ellis was born in Panora, Iowa April 2, 1933 the son of Alonzo Samuel and Julia Mae Foster. He was a 1951 graduate of Perry High School. Ellis was a long time resident of Weatherford. Ellis served his country honorably in the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Postal Service for a combined total of more than 50 years. Mr. Foster was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs, enjoyed baseball cards, bowling and coin collecting. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Vernon Foster.

A native of Azle, Gertrude was born February 16, 1919 to E. E. and Winnie English in Commerce. Gertrude was preceded in death by her parents at a young age and was raised by her Aunt Bob, Aunt Alice and Uncle Jack English.
Gertrude was a graduate of Azle High School. She went on to graduate with a Bachelor's degree from Texas Women's College in Denton. Gertrude was a home economist for Lone Star Gas Company in Dallas for three years and she taught school for five years.

Bobbie was born June 29, 1925 to Francisco Leyva and Maria Garcia, in Wilmington, California. She was a long time resident of Central California. Bobbie was the mother of two sons, Eddie and Philip.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her son, Philip.

She leaves behind her son, Eddie; five grandchildren, Lisa, Steve, Tina, Erin and Tessa; many great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews and other family members who all loved her dearly.

Mary Pat was born November 24, 1954 in Quincy, Illinois, a daughter of J. Patrick and Mary Ellen Wheeler. She graduated from Canton Missouri High School and the College of St. Benedict/St. John's University in Collegeville, Minn. Mary Pat married Jimmy J. Harrod April 16, 1998. She worked as a CPA for many years before joining her husband at Harrod's Tree Service.

Survivors include husband, Jimmy Harrod; parents, Mary Ellen and Joe Clark and J. Patrick and Claire Wheeler of Canton, MO; brothers, Joe Wheeler and wife, Barbe of Tierra Verde, FL, Dan Wheeler and wife, Shelley of Blue Springs, MO; sister, Kathleen Faoro and husband, Mark of Pueblo, Colo.; step-son J.J. Harrod, Jr. of Springtown, Texas; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
