Dwayne Edward Woody, a lifelong resident of Parker County and descendant of original settlers of this county, Samuel and Hannah Woody, died December 31, 2010, after a long illness.
Dwayne was born May 3, 1944 to Scott and Rena Mae Woody in Fort Worth. He was baptized at the First Baptist Church of Springtown at age 13. While in high school he was active in 4H, rodeo, baseball and football. Dwayne graduated from Weatherford High School in 1962.

Glendora Rutledge Simmons, 81, passed away Saturday, January 1, 2011 in White Settlement.

Glendora was a longtime resident of Olney/Springtown. She was a great fan of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and also an avid quilter. She was always involved in her church and any school activities.
Glendora was preceded in death by her husband, Harold, and her parents, Marvin and Nannie Pearl Rutledge.

Martha Cox, age 74, of Weatherford, died Friday morning, December 31, 2010 in the local hospital. Born January 24, 1936 in Parker County, where she had lived
all her life. She was a homemaker and member of the Hillcrest Church of Christ.
Martha loved working in her yard and was known for having an immaculate yard.
She was an excellent seamstress and cook. She was preceded in death by her
husband Russell Cox, in 1999.

Dana Tanner, age 58, passed away Friday evening, December 31, 2010, in the local hospital. Dana was born April 1, 1952, the son of Martha “Eddy” Headrick and Paul “Paw Paw” Nickerson. Dana enlisted in the U. S. Marine Corp in 1977, where he served 8 years honorably.
In 2002, Dana became a Weatherford business owner, with the purchase of
Miss B’s Antiques, with his wife, Becky. Dana spent his entire life providing for his family. Nothing meant more to him than his wife, three children and three
grandchildren. Dana and Beck were married for 40 years. He will be
remembered for the unconditional love he had for all of them.
Dana was preceded in death by his sister, Sandy, father, Paul Nickerson and mother Martha “Eddy” Headrick Nickerson.

Wanda Guiles Ballow, age 76, of Weatherford, died Thursday morning, December 30, 2010 in a local nursing home. Born December 19, 1934 in Weatherford, where she had lived all her life. She was a homemaker, retired Dental Assistant and Dental Lab Technician for Dr. McIntosh and Dr. Wester.
Wanda was a 1952 graduate of Weatherford High School, member of the Baptist Church and she loved antiques. She was preceded in death by her husband,
W. J. “Dub” Ballow and parents, Hollis and Ruthel Guiles
