"Born to Vesta and Lloyd Baxter on November 4, 1923, in Norborne, Missouri, where James and I met. We married in 1946 and had three wonderful children; James Lloyd, Patricia Lynn, and Richard Allen. Family has always been my priority and my pride and joy.

Our family moved from Missouri to Richland Hills, Texas in 1955. Throughout the years of my career as a mother and housewife, I became an avid bridge player. After my husband passed in 1969, I spent several years as a real estate broker, and then a few years working in a car insurance office. During my golden years, I focused on details of world events and politics via both radio and television. And, believe me, if I didn't know about an event, it didn't happen...so my offspring often chided me.
