Homer Rea Hodges
Homer was born Nov. 19, 1945, to Homer and Callie Swiger Hodges Sr. in Los Angeles, Calif. He was a longtime resident of Azle. Homer was an avid dirt track race fan, genealogist and traveler. He honorably served his country in the United States Army. Homer was retired from BNSF Railroad.
He was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, Grady R. Gislar; grandmother, Phoeba Mae Williams; great-aunt, Clara D. Hill; and aunt, Clara Alice McKnight.

Norma Jean Barnes was born April 8, 1928, in Soda Springs, daughter of the late Arlie and Marie Grimes Ashley. She was a life time resident of Soda Springs and a life time member of the Millsap Garden Club. Norma Jean married William "Speck" Barnes on Dec. 14, 1946. Mrs. Barnes retired from the administration office of the Mineral Wells ISD. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, William "Speck" Barnes in February 2011; and brothers, Howard Ashley and Burke Ashley.

John Wayne WinfordWayne was born March 9, 1936 in Clinton Okla. to John McGee and Marguerete Wright Winford.
He retired from HEB ISD and was a longtime member of Western Wheeler Camping Club. Wayne recently became a member of Normandale Baptist Church after being a longtime member of North Euless Baptist Church. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents; and son, Barry Keith Winford.

Sandra Lanier BaileySandra was born March 28, 1920, in Waxahachie, to Otis and Adeline Graves Lanier. She was a housewife and an assistant manager for Furr’s Cafeterias in Odessa. Preceding her in death were her husband, Bert E. Bailey of Odessa; a sister, Frances Davisson; brothers Hubert Otis Lanier, Buford Lanier and Winfield Lanier.
She is survived by her children: Wayne Bailey of Richardson; Jerry Bailey of Coppell; Sandra Corse of Goodlettsville, Tennessee; and Susan Baer of Weatherford. She is also survived by five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

David Higgins was born October 9, 1952 in Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his brothers-in-law, R.L. Foster and R.C. Lyon.
Survivors include his wife, Freda Higgins; step-daughters, Rhonda Wolford Reed and husband, John of Mineral Wells, Cathy Montgomery of Trenton; step-son, Keith Gatewood of Mineral Wells; brother-in-law, Jimmy Ware of Vernon; sisters-in-law, Frances Foster of Wichita Falls, Donna and Bruce Welborn of Mineral Wells, Patsy Lyon of Alaska, Sally and Frank McDole of Corpus Christi; brother, Randy Foster of Wichita Falls; sister, Tina Foster of Wichita Falls; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and cousins.

Edyth Bunch
Edyth was born in Oklahoma City to Benjamin and Edyth Thomas. She was a long time resident of North Texas. Edyth loved cats and people. Craft work was a highlight of her life. Edith was a devout member of the Christ Way Baptist Church and the Gideons.
Preceeding her in death were her parents and a son.
Survivors: husband, Benjamin E. Bunch; sons, Bill Bunch and wife Pat of Dallas, Bruce Bunch and wife Barbara of Hudson Oaks; grandchildren, Shane and Benjie; Great-Grandchild, Lyric; and numerous friends and acquaintances.

Gerard SpataroMr. Spataro was self employed, member of the Catholic Church and a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He attended New York Phoenix, a subsidiary of NYU, loved to read, fish and enjoyed drawing cartoons as he was an art major but most of all enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren who knew him as “Grumpa”.
The family would like to express thanks to all the doctors, nurses and staff at the UT Southwestern Medical Center for their extended care provided to him during his two heart transplants.

Mary BondMary was born to Ed and Carena Mills Pettit July 13, 1921 in Paris. She had lived in the Azle area for sixty years. Mary dearly loved her family and will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Bond in 1973.
Survivors: children, Richard Bond of Springtown and Elaine Reynolds and husband, Charlie of Azle; grandchildren, Ricky and Jimmy Bond; five great-grandchildren; sister, Grace Huckaby; brother, R. F. Pettit; and a host of family and friends.

Betty was born March 2, 1931 in Hot Springs, Arkansas the daughter of Jim and Laura Hood. She had been a resident of Weatherford for 30 years. Betty worked for The Carnation Company in Fort Worth and also Prontos in Weatherford. She was preceded in death by her husband, Travis Leonard Cox in 1996; children, Jimmy Cox and Carolyn Cox; and brothers, Marvin and Travis Hood.
Survivors include, sons, Kenneth Leonard Cox and Larry Logan Cox and wife, Barbara, all of Weatherford; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
