Billye Marie Simons, 84, of Weatherford, died Sunday, November 16, 2014. Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel with interment in Curtis Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Galbreaith Pickard.
Mrs. Simons was born April 16, 1930 in Westbrook to Claude and Mildred Sweatt. She graduated from Odessa High School in 1946. She married Melvin Simons Dec. 7, 1948. They owned and operated M&B Transport for 18 years. She was a member of Hilltop Baptist Church in Weatherford for 42 years.
She is preceded in death by her brother, Deb Sweatt.

Kenneth Edward “Buddy” Carr, 59, of Weatherford, died Monday, Nov. 17, 2014. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 20 at Harberger Hill Community Center.
Mr. Carr was born Sept. 2, 1955 in Elmira, N.Y. He was a member of Harvest Rain Church, was a poet laureate, and loved to write poetry, play the guitar and sing. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Alice Carr; and sister, Sharon Venable.
He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Vallarie Carr; daughter, Lisa Lester and husband Rusty; sons, Cliff Carr and wife Erin, and Kenny Carr; sister, Gail Withers and husband Clifton; brother, Cliff Carr and wife Theresa; four grandchildren, Jacob Carr, Rachel Lester, Addison Carr, and Kate Netsch; great- granddaughter, Haley Riley; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Curtis Lee Johnson Sr., 87, of Weatherford died Saturday, Nov. 15, 2014 at a local hospital.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20 at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be held at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel Wednesday, Nov. 19 from 6-8 p.m.
Mr. Johnson was a former mechanic and the custodian for Grace First Presbyterian Church for over 30 years. He was a member of the Mount Zion Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Johnson was preceded in death by his wife, Mary.
He is survived by his daughter, Martha Buckner of Fort Worth; son, Curtis Jr. and wife Corrie of Hudson Oaks; brothers, Patrick and Corey and wife Lourra of Sherman; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Jack L. Griffith, 84, died Sunday, Nov. 16, 2014.
Service is set for 9:30 a.m. Thursday at White's Azle Chapel, 105 Denver Trail with interment at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Fort Worth.
Mr. Griffith was born in Ada, Okla. April 1, 1930. He honorably served his country in the United States Army retiring after 33 years of service at the rank of lieutenant colonel.
He received his doctorate of animal nutrition and husbandry. He married Juanita Rodriguez May 10, 1988 in Fort Worth. Griffith was a member of the Independent Order of the Odd Fellows for many years and the LaJunta Baptist Church. He loved teaching, he taught chemistry at Ohio Northern University. After retirement he enjoyed spending time on his farm in Weatherford.

Jackie Lee Couch, 54, of Mineral Wells, died after a lengthy illness, surrounded by family, Thursday, Nov. 13, 2014.
Funeral service is set for 1 p.m. Monday at White's Mineral Wells Chapel, 101 N. E. 4th Ave., Mineral Wells with interment at Indian Creek Cemetery. Visitation is from 5-7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Couch was born Feb. 2, 1960 in Mineral Wells to Lillie Brandenburg and Paul Meeks. She graduated from Mineral Wells High School in 1978. She married Ricky Couch Sept. 2, 1983. They owned and managed R&J Cedar Company for over 20 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ricky Couch, and nephew, Sgt. Rhonnie Meeks.

Leslie Galbreaith Zeller, 51, died Monday, Nov. 10, 2014 at her home. Graveside memorial service is set for 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15 at the Spring Creek Cemetery.

Zeller was born Dec. 21, 1962 in Weatherford to Jimmie Galbreaith and Sandra McKnight Galbreaith.
Survivors include her son, Justin Shae Lowry of Weatherford; daughter, Jayme McIlveene of Arlington; sister, Stacy Kay Short of Argyle; brother, Scotty Galbreaith of Weatherford, five grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Robert Earl (Bob) Wright Jr., SFC US Army (ret.), 73, of Weatherford died Sunday, Nov. 9, 2014. He will be honored with a full military funeral Thursday, Nov. 13 at 2 p.m. at Bethel United Methodist Church, 3196 Bethel Rd. with interment in Bethel Cemetery. Visitation is 12:30-2 p.m.

Mr. Wright met Betty Thomas in Weatherford in 1963 while attending Weatherford College. They married March 6, 1964, and celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in March.

Arthur "Bud" Bouchard, 72, of Burleson died Sunday, Nov. 9, 2014.
Graveside service is set for 1 p.m. Wednesday at Poolville Cemetery.
Arthur Willard Bouchard was born April 25, 1942 to Arthur and Elizabeth Bouchard in Ogdensburg, N.Y. He was a Christian, having accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior years ago.
He worked at Fox Electric in Arlington. He also loved hunting and was excellent at woodworking.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Sheila Bouchard.

Ralphia Lee Gibson, 86, of Weatherford, died Saturday, Nov. 8, 2014 in Weatherford.
Graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 12 at South Park Cemetery in Pearland.
Mrs. Gibson was born Oct. 21, 1928 in Hempstead to the late Robert Martin Haining and Oma Tena Edwards Haining. She married Henry Owen “Mickey” Gibson, Sr. Nov. 1, 1946 in Houston, and they raised four children. She attended Hempstead High School.
Gibson was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years Dec. 8, 2010; a daughter, Sharon Tena Greer; and a grandson, Travis Owen Gibson.
