Debbie Paschal, 63, died Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2015 with her family by her side.
Graveside service is set for 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Hoggard-Reynolds Cemetery. Visitation is from noon-1 p.m. at White's Azle Funeral Home.
Mrs. Paschal was born Sept. 3, 1951 in Fort Worth to James Burton and Mary Ann Paschal. She had lived most of her life in the Azle area. Debbie was a hairdresser in Azle at different locations for 35 years.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, Jon D. Paschal and Matt Paschal; and companion, Donald "Johnny" Lochabey.

James Scott Woody, 93, lifelong resident of Parker County and great-great-grandson of the original white settlers of the county, Samuel and Hannah Woody, died Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2015.
Visitation is from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at White's Funeral Home in Springtown, 401 N. Main St. Funeral is set for 1:30 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church of Springtown, 500 N. Main St.

Dr. Marvin Louis “Doc” Baker, 88, of Weatherford died Feb. 5, 2015 in his home. A memorial service will be held on the South Plains College campus in Levelland Friday, Feb. 20 from 2-3:30 p.m. A memorial visitation will be held Sunday, Feb. 15 from 2-4 p.m at First Baptist Church of Weatherford, 221 W. Marlene Elenor Bideler, 66, died Monday, Feb. 9, 2015. Memorial service is set for 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 12, 2015 at the New River Fellowship in Hudson Oaks.
Mrs. Bideler was born Aug. 23, 1948 in Albuquerque, N.M. to Pete and Mary Melbihess. She was a care giver providing many individuals needing assistance during difficult times. Marlene had the heart of a servant; she loved cooking, socializing, sewing, and spending time with her family and friends.

Frances Dee Mason, 78, of Fort Worth, died Sunday, Feb. 8, 2015 at her home. Visitation is from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel. Funeral is set for 11 a.m. Feb. 14 at South Main Church of Christ in Weatherford, with burial at Greenwood Cemetery in Weatherford.
Mrs. Mason was a retired CNA and foster parent. She enjoyed shopping and going to garage sales in her free time.
She was preceded in death by husband, McCunnie Washington, and oldest son Danny Washington.

Janice Gayle Bateman, 77, of Weatherford died Thursday, Feb. 5, 2015, at home.

Mrs. Bateman was born July 7, 1937, daughter of Carlos D. and Thelma G. Leake Goddard in Fort Worth. She married Rufus K. Bateman July 14, 1956 in Fort Worth. They spent 59 happy years together and raised three wonderful children. She was a gifted artist and was a member of Clay and Canvas Group of Artists, Oil Painters of American, National Water Color Association and other artist organizations.

James "Bob" Land, 76, of Aledo died Sunday, Feb. 8, 2015.
Funeral is set for 10 a.m. Saturday in White's Chapel of Memories, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford with interment at Ash Creek Cemetery, 300 Stewart St., Azle. Visitation is from 6-8 p.m. Friday at White's Funeral Home, Weatherford.

James Robert "Bob" Land was born Aug. 5, 1938, son of James and Golda Land, in Bessmer, Ala. He married Twylla D'Ann Johnson.
Mr. Land was the owner and operator of B&L Interior for many years. He loved assisting South Cliff Baptist Church and loved fishing and was an avid Texas Rangers baseball fan.

Donald Ray "Duck" Shirley, 73, of Brock died Sunday, Feb. 8, 2015.
Funeral service is set for 2 p.m. Wednesday at Brock Baptist Church, 2111 FM 1189 with interment at Evergreen Cemetery in Lipan. Visitation is from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at White's Funeral Home, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford.

Mr. Shirley was born March 26, 1941 in Brock, son of N.L. (Lynn) and Oma Shirley. He graduated from Brock High School in 1959 and went to work for Southern Airways until it closed in 1970. He became a lifelong farmer, harvesting watermelon and cantaloupes, baling hay and digging coastal sprigs. He had retired and enjoyed visiting his many friends at his office, the barn.

Eskel Leo Brannan, 97, of Weatherford died Friday, Feb. 6, 2015 at Holland Lake Nursing Home in Weatherford.
Graveside service is set for 2 p.m. Monday at East Greenwood Cemetery in Weatherford.
Mr. Brannan was born Feb. 25, 1917 in Bynum to George and Murtle Brannan. He was a member of the Cowboys Turtle Association, Rodeo Cowboys Association, PRCA and STRA. He was inducted into the Texas Rodeo Cowboy Hall of Fame in 2008. He honorably and proudly served his country in World War II.
Brandon was preceded in death by his brother, T.J. Brannan; wife, Delighta Elizabeth Brannan; granddaughter, Kodie Gouge; and two stepsons, Philip Calabria and Peter Calabria.

Barbara Ann Wood Thompson of Palo Pinto died Monday, Feb. 2, 2015.
Private services were held Friday, Feb. 6 in Palo Pinto Cemetery.
Mrs. Thompson was born Dec. 2, 1937 in Bass River, Cape Cod, Mass. to George William and Marian Pearl Varney Wood. In 1952, her family moved to California where she married Robert Franklin Thompson. They had three children while Robert made a career of the Navy, and Barbara was mostly a stay at home wife and mother. In 1982, they retired to Palo Pinto where Bob's family was from (the Cantey Bus Station). Shortly after coming back, Barbara went to work at the Palo Pinto County courthouse in the tax office where she did the voter registration among other things until she retired in December 1999.
