Billie Jean Barnes died in Fort Worth Friday, Jan. 16, 2015.
A private service is planned.
Visitation is from 6-8 p.m. Monday at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.
Mrs. Barnes was born June 4, 1930 in Parker County and lived in the community of Dicey before moving to Weatherford during her childhood. She was employed for over 27 years at Southwestern Bell as a telephone operator, working first in Weatherford, then in Fort Worth. She was a long-time member of the First Free Will Baptist Church in Weatherford.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, William R. Barnes; and sisters, Mildred Treadwell, and Marzelle White.

Edna Merle Burgess, 86, of Fort Worth died Friday, Jan. 16, 2015.
Funeral service is set for 2 p.m. Monday in White's Chapel of Memories, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford. Visitation is from 1-2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Burgess was born Jan. 31, 1928 to Herbert Clarence and Bessie Landers Burgess in Azle. She attended North Texas State University. She worked as a private secretary for various oil companies as far away as Tripoli, Libya, ultimately working for the Moncrief Oil Co. until her retirement. She traveled extensively all over the world and belonged to many travel clubs.
She was preceded in death by a nephew, John Adcock; niece, Brenda Burgess Smith; brother, Claude Burgess; and sister, Helen Adcock.

Earl Allen Gaskill, 67, of Weatherford died in his home Saturday, Jan. 17. Funeral is set for 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan 20 at Southside Baptist Church with interment in XRay Cemetery.
Mr. Gaskillwas born Aug. 6, 1947 in Weatherford to Earl Gaskill and Mildred Guidry Gaskill. He was a retired vice president of operations for Peco-Facet Corporation, in the oil and gas industry, a faithful member of Southside Baptist Church, and a lifelong baseball fan, following the Texas Rangers and Nolan Ryan.

James Dale Dixon, 78, died Saturday, Jan. 17, 2015, surrounded by family at his home in Weatherford.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Stephens Catholic Church, 1802 Bethel Road, Weatherford with interment: at Memory Gardens of the Valley. Visitation is from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at White's Funeral Home, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford, where a rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.
In lieu of usual remembrances, the Dixon family suggests contributions to his grandson's memorial, the Carter Robertson Charitable Foundation at First Financial Bank.

Dean L. Gilley, 92, of Weatherford, died Saturday, Jan. 17, 2015. Graveside service is set for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 21 at Greenwood Community Cemetery. Visitation is from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Galbreaith Pickard.
Mr. Gilley was born Sept. 15, 1922 in Springtown to Merzy Dean and Maggie Lafayette Gilley. He was a Navy veteran, retired meat cutter for Winn Dixie and enjoyed woodworking, carpentry and farming. Gilley was preceded in death by his daughter, Linda Morgan; brother, Gene Gilley; and sister Loretta Carney.

Mary "Happy" McKee, 89, of Weatherford died Friday, Jan. 16, 2015.
Funeral service is set for 11 a.m. Tuesday at Santa Fe Baptist Church, 1502 Santa Fe Dr., Weatherford, with interment at Memory Gardens of the Valley. Visitation is from 5-7 p.m. Monday at White's Funeral Home, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford.
Mrs. McKee was born Sept. 14, 1925 to Carl Osvill and Mabel Jewel Potter McKee. She grew up on a cotton farm and rode a mule to deliver water to the workers, which is how she got the nickname "Happy Jack.” She was a member of Santa Fe Baptist Church and was an active member of Parker County Gospel Singers.
Survivors include many nieces, nephews and friends.

Sharon Ann Deam Melton, 65, of The Colony died Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2015.

Mrs. Melton was born Feb. 10, 1949 to Phillip Henry and Mildred Ioma Bradley Deam in Fort Worth.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Ricky.
Survivors include her daughter, Angi Charles and husband, Bubba; grandchildren, Randall Jenkins, Garrett Jenkins, Kris Jenkins, Morgan Charles, Mindy Charles and D.J. Anna Lee Morton Taylor, 73, of Weatherford died Jan. 15, 2015. Memorial service is set for 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 17 at Victory Baptist Church.
Mrs. Morton was born Sept. 27, 1941 in Brownfield to RC and Lee Morton. She graduated from Wellman High School in 1960 and was a graduate of Texas Tech University in 1963. She married Clinton Taylor in 1971. She was a retired school teacher and hospital dietitian.
