Eunice Bernice Armstrong, 85, died Tuesday Aug. 12, 2014 surrounded by her loved ones. Graveside service will be Saturday, Aug. 16 at Tin Top Cemetery at 11 a.m. Visitation will be at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel Friday, Aug. 15 from 6-8 p.m.
Mrs. Armstrong was born Sept. 10, 1928 in Waco to Frank and Pearl Preston. She moved to Tin Top on the Brazos River when she was a young child. She lived there till she married and moved to Sweetwater.Armstrong had five children. In 1965 she moved back to Weatherford. She worked as a gatherer and candler for a local egg farm. She also worked at Flamingos Café and the old Wanda’s Café for years.
She was preceded in death by four brothers and a sister. She is survived by her children, Johnny Armstrong, Rose Hillger and husband Ronnie, Tommy Armstrong, Joy Gibson and husband Roy, and Molly Holland and husband Steve; family friend, Diana Reiser; sister; Rita Stockstill; brother, Charles Lee Preston; grandchildren, Tasha Mooney, Amber Madrid and husband Joe, Ronnie Hillger and Shannon Mercier, Dusty Ford and husband Chris, Ryan Armstrong and wife Serena, Colby Armstrong and wife Misty, Darlene Holland, Chad Holland, and Carisa Reiser; and great-grandchildren Madison Mooney, Dawson Mooney, Braylin Dodson, Aubrey Madrid, Weston Ford, Bailey Hillger, Colton Hillger, Alexis Mercier, Ashley Mercier, Tyler Armstrong, Ethan Armstrong, Hannah Landenberger, Makayla Landenberger, and Mackenzie Landenberger.
