Mack Wayne Dobbins, 81, died Friday, June 6, 2014 in Granbury. Service is set for 1 p.m. Tuesday at Wiley Funeral Home with interment at Aledo Brown Cemetery. Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Wiley Funeral Home in Granbury.
Mack Wayne Dobbins was born April 8, 1933. He was a Coleman native who attended schools in Fort Worth and Mansfield after relocating to Fort Worth at age seven. He graduated from Mansfield High School and worked for Leonard Brother Stores downtown Fort Worth. Jess Smith, his father-in-law, helped Mack get a job with Tesco where, after 39 years of service, he retired while residing in Aledo. He later moved to Pecan Plantation where he enjoyed a daily golf game. Mack was preceded in death by his father, L.D. Dobbins; his mother, Inez Dobbins; his wife, Jane Dobbins to whom he was married 39 years; and brother, Donald Dobbins. Survivors include his wife of 16 years, Margie Dobbins; daughters, Brenda Sheeley and husband, Danny and Deneise Stockon and husband, Jerry; brothers, Lynn Dobbins and Pat Dobbins; sister, Nelda Howton; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild; and many step-children and step-grandchildren.
