Thomas Francis Lane died Thursday afternoon, April 10, 2014. His family will greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday with a rosary recited at 7 p.m. at Thompson's Harveson & Cole Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. He will be buried in Greenwood Memorial Park.
Thomas Francis Lane was born July 16, 1942, in Kansas City, Mo. He graduated from Subiaco Academy, attended North Texas State University, and completed his studies at the University of Mississippi before joining the United States Air Force. During the Vietnam War, he flew the RF4-C and achieved the rank of captain. Tom thoroughly enjoyed a lifelong career in technology, but his faith, his church and his family were the most important. A longtime member of Holy Family Catholic Church and St. Patrick Cathedral, he was active in pro-life activities and served as an acolyte and parish council member.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Mary Kaye Lane; son, Joseph Vincent Lane and his wife, Kelly Anne, and their daughter, Madeline Anne Lane; daughters, Christine Anne Lane and Carmen Marie Lane.
