Calvin Lyon, 79, died Friday, April 4, 2014.
Funeral is 10 a.m. Monday in White's Chapel of Memories, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford, with interment at Aledo Brown Cemetery.
Calvin Lyon was born Aug. 27, 1934 to Victor Horace and Mary Ada Downe Lyon in Fort Worth. He grew up in Aledo and met and married Mary Jo Lambert, Sept. 4, 1954. Mr. Lyon worked for the Texas Highway Dept. and retired after 36 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Aledo. Lyon was a fireman with the Aledo Volunteer Fire Dept. for 45 years. He was a member of the Aledo Lions Club and worked on the Aledo Zoning Board. He was a farmer and rancher for many years and was a very hard working family man.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Mary Jo Lyon; children, Tommy Lyon, Darrell Lyon and wife, Melissa and Pam Fuqua and husband, Terry; grandchildren, Matthew Fuqua and Joshua Fuqua; and many nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.
