Julia Margaret Konopka was born April 30, 1951, in Denton, daughter of the late Al and Margaret Hill Petty. She married Jack Konopka on Dec. 29, 1971, and they began their life together. Together they worked at Western Grass Company, which Jack owned, from 1981 to 2000. Judy loved animals of all kinds and even raised and showed llamas for many years. She was a member of the Llama Association and loved to knit and spin llama and alpaca wool into scarves that she would give as gifts to her friends.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents; and numerous aunts and uncles.
Survivors: Husband, Jack Konopka of Weatherford; son, James Konopka of Austin; daughter, Julie Sweum and husband, Ricky, of Japan; grandchildren, Olivia Konopka of Austin, and Canyon and Sage Sweum of Japan; sister, Ricky Lynn Baldwin and husband, Tony, of Aledo; brothers, Jerry Wilson and wife, Denise, of Pottsboro and James Petty of Fort Worth.
