Aledo junior defensive specialist Hannah Loftin handles the ball as seniors Taylor Brown (2) and Christa Daniel (13) get into position. The first-place Ladycats will continue District 5-4A action at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 5, at second-place Birdville.
After winning their first five District 5-4A games, the state-ranked No. 11 Aledo Ladycats faced a situation last week where they would play the two teams tied for second place, Azle and Springtown.
The Ladycats dispatched Azle in three games, but went five games with Springtown in consecutive victories to run their 5-4A mark to a sparkling 7-0.
On Tuesday (Oct. 5), the Ladycats (25-8) will once again face a second-place team as they travel to Birdville (5-2) to continue district play. First serve will be at 6:30 p.m.
The freshman and junior varsity matches will begin at 5:30 p.m. Check this site Tuesday night for results of all matches.
