The Ladycats own a four-game winning streak and will host Boswell at 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 29, at the AHS gym. The Bearcats game will follow at 8 p.m.

The Aledo High School basketball teams will host Boswell at the AHS gym while the soccer teams will entertain Mineral Wells at Bearcat Stadium on Friday, Jan. 29.

The state-ranked No. 17 Ladycats basketball team is 9-1 and sits atop of the District 6-4A standings. Springtown also sports a 9-1 district mark, but Aledo holds the tiebreaker due to a 10-point win at Springtown earlier in league play.

The Ladycats have won four consecutive games and will be facing a Lady Pioneer team with a 5-5 district mark. Tip off is at 6 p.m.

The Bearcats (1-7) will face a 2-6 Boswell squad. Tip is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.

The AHS defending-district-champion soccer teams are both 1-0 in league play.

The Ladycats will host Mineral Wells at 6 p.m. at Bearcat Stadium. Stephanie Neeley leads the Ladycats with seven goals, and Leslie Coats is the team leader in assists with 10.

The Bearcats are led in scoring by Yusef Marwan and Thomas Davis, each with 11 goals. Matt Nickell, last week’s Moritz/Kia Tournament of Champions MVP, leads the team in assists with 10.

The Bearcats will face Mineral Wells in an 8 p.m. start at Bearcat Stadium.
