Play Date for Special Needs Children

A community wide play date was held on Sept. 11 at Cherry Park in Weatherford, the first of what organizers hope will be a regular monthly event. This play date is for children with special needs and their families, providing a chance for them to meet others with similar challenges and to provide a means of networking for parents. The play date was deemed a success with children ranging from 17 months to 9 years and a variety of diagnoses.
