Bearcats ranked No. 1 in new AP Class 4A poll

The Aledo Bearcats jumped to the top spot in the Associated Press Top 10 Class 4A schoolboy poll for Sept. 13, 2010.

The Bearcats (3-0), who jumped to No. 1 from the No. 2 spot after defeating previous No. 1 Lake Travis, 14-10, Friday night (Sept. 10) at Lake Travis, secured 24 of a possible 25 first-place votes.

Lake Travis (2-1), which saw a 48-game winning streak come to an end, dropped to the No. 4 spot.

Previous No. 3 Brenham, the 2009 DII finalist, moved up to the No. 2 spot, while Denton Ryan moved up a spot to No. 3.
