Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service of Parker County, in cooperation with the Parker County Master Gardeners, will conduct a workshop entitled How to Help your Landscape Survive a Texas Summer. The class will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on May 11 at the Extension Office at 604 N. Main Street in Weatherford. The agenda will include presentations on successful techniques for water-wise gardening using drip irrigation, rain water harvesting, and drought tolerant plants. The class will include a hands-on workshop on how to use and install drip irrigation and rainwater harvesting systems.
There is a $20 charge per person to attend the class. The fee will cover the costs of handouts, refreshments and lunch. Class size is limited to the first 30 people to register and in order to secure a spot and allow a head count for the meal, registration with payment is due by Thursday, May 9. To register, come by the Parker County Extension Office or mail your payment to 604 N. Main, Suite 200, Weatherford, 76086. Checks should be made to PC Ag.
