In an e-mail sent to the members of the Willow Park City Council, obtained by The Community News through a public information request, Hawkins told the entire quorum on June 4, 2009; “I am afraid that we are not yet comparing apples to apples” in regards to the Deer Creek and Dyegard (spelled Digard in the e-mail) water systems.
According to the Texas Open Meetings Act, violations could be a misdemeanor offense punishable by a fine of no less than $100 or no more than $500, confinement in the county jail for not less than one month or more than six months, or both.
