The Business Development Group of Aledo (BDGA) will hold its annual Clay Shoot on Saturday, March 2, benefitting the Aledo High School Future Business Leaders and FFA. A youth shoot begins at 9 a.m. and adult shoots take place at 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
“The students benefitting from the clay shoot are earning their way,” BDGA Board President Craig Harbuck said. “They will be volunteering at the event.”
This marks the fourth year of the Clay Shoot, BDGA's only fundraiser, and the second year of the youth shoot component.
Harbuck said the youth shoot follows the same 10-station track as the adult course, with youth being scored the same as adults.
“The youth will go through the course with an adult supervisor, like their mother or father,” Harbuck said. “It's a family event.”
Adult tickets cost $125 and include dinner. Youth tickets cost $20 and do not include dinner.
Sponsors this year include Moritz and Friends of the NRA, which donated $5,000 worth of merchandise.
