The Texas Agrilife Extension Service will present “Friend to Friend - Staying Healthy Together” at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29 at First United Methodist Church, 301 S. Main St. in Weatherford. Women of all ages are invited to take a friend to learn about the importance of mammograms, pap tests and other forms of early detection of cancer and how to access financial resources and area services. Partners in the event include the American Cancer Society, Cancer Care Services, Careity Foundation, Moncrief Cancer Institute, Parker County Extension Education Association, Parker County Hospital District, Solis Womens’ Health, Susan G. Komen, Texas A&M Agrilife Extension - Parker County and Weatherford Regional Medical Center Senior Circle and Healthy Woman. The event is free. To register, call 817-598-6168.
