The Weatherford Chamber of Commerce will have its annual Christmas on the Square from 12-5 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 1 on the Historic Weatherford Downtown Square.
Festivities will begin with a parade at 10 a.m. at the Weatherford Ninth Grade Center and make its way up South Main, around the Courthouse, head West on Palo Pinto Street and pass by Cherry Park. Downtown stores will have shopping and treats including hot chocolate, cupcakes, cookies and candy canes. Businesses and organizations will be thanking the community for their support throughout this year by handing out samples and treats and many of the vendors and stores will offer special prices and sales.
Live Ice Sculpting will be a new addition to this year’s festivities. Two live entertainment stages will showcase holiday music and talents. Other activities include free horse-drawn carriage rides, Kids’ Area, mini-train rides and roaming Christmas characters such as the Grinch and Chris-Moose. Also back by popular demand is the Classic Car Show on the Southeast quadrant of the square.
Admission and parking are free of charge. For more information or for sponsorships or vendor booths, please call the Weatherford Chamber of Commerce at 817-596-3801 or visit www.weatherford-chamber.com.
