Mr. Chuck Katlic will be the guest speaker at the Parker County Republican Women meeting at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 8 at the Doss Heritage and Cultural Center.

Mr. Katlic, of the 99th Infantry Division, is an honored veteran of WW II and survivor of the Battle of the Bulge. He will discuss his experiences from his life.

Mr. Katlic is renowned in our community for his love of country and the American Flag. He oversees the placing of flags on veteran’s graves on Memorial Day, Veterans’ Day and July 4. He recruits local Boy Scouts and American Heritage Girls to help him distribute thousands of flags. Katlic, a verifiable octogenarian, is also active in proper disposal of the flags.

Before coming to Weatherford, Katlic worked 38 years as a machinist in the shipyards in Maryland. Then he volunteered in National Parks and with the Sari Indians in Mexico.
