The second annual Thanksgiving Trot in east Parker County will be held on Nov. 22 at 505 South Point Court in Aledo. The one mile will begin at 8 a.m. and the 5k at 8:30 a.m. Registration fees are Adults $25 and Children $15 up to Nov. 15. After that date, fees go up to $30 and $20, respectively. Packet Pickup will be on race day beginning at 7:30 a.m.
Proceeds from the race benefit Aiden Maloy, a three-year-old boy who was recently diagnosed with kidney cancer. The cancer is named Wilms Tumor. As a result, Aiden he has lost one of his kidneys to this disease. Proceeds will go toward helping him and his family with his medical expenses.
“We appreciate your support and ask that you keep Aiden and his family in your prayers. We are running or walking this race to show our support for Aiden. May God bless you on this day of Thanksgiving,” said race organizers.
