Managing Diabetes Program

A free Managing Diabetes through Nutrition and Healthy Eating Workshop will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, August 13 at the Weatherford Senior Citizens Center, located at 1225 Holland Lake Drive. The program will focus on providing guidelines for good nutrition and utilizing information provided on food labels for menu planning. There will be a cooking demonstration and individual consultations will be provided after the presentation for those persons seeking additional information and resources. Each participant (one per family) will receive a copy of the American Diabetes Association book, “Month of Meals: Diabetes Meal Planner.” The book contains valuable information covering 600 recipes and will be provided free of charge to eligible participants by the North Central Texas Area Agency on Aging.
