Melanie Rose Long was born July 27, 1985, in Fort Worth, daughter of Anthony Caldwell and Marie Brown. She attended Springtown High School and married Brian Long on October 31, 2008, in Joshua. Melanie liked to shop and loved music.

Survivors: Husband, Brian Long of Paradise; children, Shyla Rose, Shyenne Kathryn, Shania Alexis and Brian Triston; parents, Dan and
Marie Myers of Joshua; father, Anthony Caldwell of East Texas; brother, Christopher Caldwell of Peaster; sisters, Brittney Worden and husband, Kyle, of Cooper, and Brandi Hall of Azle; brother, Justin Myers of Joshua; grandmother, Roselee Brown of Azle; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews; and a host of loving family and friends.
