Mary was born November 10, 1922 to Harry and Ona Cousins McKee in Asherville, Kansas. She retired from the Business and Professional Service in San Antonio in 1977.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Varney.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Donna Varney, of Weatherford, and Roger and Rita Varney, of Las Vegas, Nevada; five grandchildren, Paul, Tim, Kelly, Trevor and Sara; five great-grandchildren, Ava, Adelyn, Triston, Caled and Asher.
