In support of Judge Ben Akers

May 3, 2012 by Editor

This letter is written in support of Judge Ben Akers, an experienced, well-respected judge.

Judge Akers is up for re-election as Judge of County Court at Law Number 2.

He has been licensed to practice law since 1987 and has lived in Parker County since 1988. He is a valued member of our community.

Judge Akers’ opponent is Debra Rogers, previously known as Debra Dupont. She has not practiced law in several years – she has instead attended seminary school at SMU.

I have not seen her in the courthouse in many years and an examination of the website, www.parkercountytx.com reveals that she is not listed as attorney of record on any active cases in Parker County.

Since her election defeat in 2006, she is listed as attorney of record on only seven civil (cases none of them active) and zero criminal cases.

In short, Mrs. Rodgers experience now is the same as, or quite possibly less than, it was six years ago when astute voters in Parker County removed her from the bench.

Please join me in voting for the very best candidate for that position, Judge Ben Akers.
