Maryann Cook Gunn died in Ft. Worth at Community Hospice of Texas. Mrs. Gunn was born in Philipsburg, New Jersey and moved to Dallas soon after. She is preceded in death by her parents William C. Cook, Pauline Harper Eckel and brother Sam Cook.
She graduated from Hillcrest High in 1967 and earned a BA and a MA from Stephen F. Austin and taught art at Azle Junior High for 33 years. She was a proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Maryann married William Wallace Gunn III on June 29. 1974 and raised two children, William Noble Gunn and Mary Grace Gunn.
She was a true and fearless Catholic with an unconditional love and understanding for all. She loved baseball, the beach, the Bearcat Regiment, the Girl Scouts, and Leela, our mutt.
She is survived by brothers Carter, Dank, Hank, Jim, and John along with devoted father and mother-in-law, J.V. Burnett and Jane Read Burnett.
