Evelyn was born February 9, 1949 to Luther Elvin and June Christian Lewing in Louisiana. She was a long time resident of Azle. Evelyn loved to be with her grandchildren and also enjoyed cooking.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sisters; and a brother.

Survivors include her children, Dennis Ray Turner, Douglas Edward Turner, Patricia Conley and husband, Joe, of Azle and Joe Jimenez of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Rachel Kirby, Levi Turner and Dalton Turner; daughter, Machelle Houston and friend, Elizabeth Craig.
