Faye Johnson

Faye was born to the late Milard Constantine and Beulah Barlow Watson July 27, 1931 in Louisiana. She was the 4th of nine children. Faye attended school in Louisiana and married Travis Johnson December 26, 1951 in Arkansas while Travis was on leave from military service. She was a very gifted, award winning, commissioned artist and was named Artist of the Year. Faye had studied with Bror Utter. She was a member of the Junior Women's League of Fort Worth, and was an avid gardener. They moved to Weatherford in the mid 1980's. She was a lifetime member of the First Baptist Church in Weatherford, and charter member of Western Hills Baptist Church.

Faye was preceded in death by her son, Travis,Jr in 1978; parents; three brothers; and three sisters.

Survivors: husband, Travis Johnson of Weatherford; son, Ray Johnson of Fort Worth; daughter, Angela Meredith and husband, Ron; grandchildren, Crysten Rowan, Samantha Renee,and Jonathan Alan; sisters, Betty Thomas and Mary Ann Sullivan; numerous nieces and nephews.
