Babe was a retired Fort Worth ISD Elementary School Principal with over 40 years service in the public schools. He loved helping the kids and took a personal interest in them. Babe was also a rancher who never lost his interest and love for the land and his cattle. He could be seen feeding his cows or fixing fences and water gaps into his 70's until advancing age required him to stop. Babe was a Christian and a regular church attendee as long as health permitted. Active until near the end he and his wife could be seen eating lunch every day at Howell's Cafe, joined often by children and grandchildren. He was a devoted husband and father who taught his children responsible money management, generosity, and the importance of family. Babe always believed he was extremely blessed by the Lord. On his last day he and his wife read the Bible from the Book of Acts, Chapter 2 and prayed together.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; and four sisters.
Survivors: wife, Pearl; sons, Andy and wife, Judy and Forrest and wife, Germania; daughter, Liz Brown and husband, Mike; three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren.
